This is a one-week, live summer class! Below, read all about my fun online class for students ages 10 and up who have never taken Spanish or had limited exposure.

Students who have NOT taken Spanish 1 but want a taste of the language and some fun, interactive online learning!

What is class like?
In this short Spanish experience, your student will log in to the online classroom for five one-hour classes of introductory Spanish. We will learn and practice introducing yourself, numbers, colors, how to talk about favorite things, and much more.
Your student will...
- Hear Spanish
- Speak Spanish (but don't be nervous! We keep it easy in this class)
- Learn new words
- Play Spanish language games on the interactive white board
- Listen to Spanish music
- Learn about Spanish culture
Plus, this class experience gives your student the chance to try out an online class before committing to a full school year!

The details
When?​

The Introduction to Spanish course lasts one week and consists of five one-hour classes -- every day from Monday, June 23 through Friday, June 27, 2025.

Class is from 11:00am ET - 12:00pm ET
​​
Students can attend the live class or watch later via recording. But, the live class is interactive, which is more enjoyable and beneficial for students than watching a recording.
Where?
Totally online! You’ll receive information on how to log in to our online classroom.

$90 total (for the 5 classes and the optional homework)

Intro-to-Spanish FAQs
How old does a student need to be to take this class?
Ages 10 through 18.

Does each student need a separate registration?
​Yes, each student should be registered separately. Each student will have their own online classroom account and be able to open their microphone during class, draw on the whiteboard, go into breakout rooms, etc.

Are parents required to purchase materials for the class?
No, a PDF will be supplied as part of the class.
​
Will a grade be issued and do students take tests?
No. This is a fun, lighthearted taste of the language!
​
Are students required to turn on their webcam during class?
No, but it's always fun to be able to see each other.
​
Will students have homework?
There is no homework to turn in, but it's helpful for students to spend approximately 30 minutes reviewing what we covered that day. Students will be provided with suggested homework activities in the PDF.

Will students be able to hear and see the teacher during class?
During class, students can see and hear me and they can see the classroom whiteboard. And, they can communicate with me via chat and their microphone in class.
​
Can students ask you questions outside of class?
Students can also communicate with me outside of class through our class homeroom email.
​
If I need to cancel my registration, what's your cancellation policy?
Until 10 days prior to the beginning of classes, there is an 80% refund. After 10 days prior to the beginning of classes, there is no refund.
